Although it is unclear how Microsoft Bing’s integration with AI will surpass Google’s, with the sale of 259 million smart devices in 2022, this change will undoubtedly cause significant damage to Google.

Currently, Google and Samsung are in negotiations, and there is a high possibility that Google will continue to work with their long-standing partner instead of switching to an untested technology like Bing.

For the past 20 years, Google has dominated the internet search market and remains the default search engine on most mobile devices and popular browsers on iOs, iPadOs, and MacOs because users are familiar with accessing the web through Google. Most people are familiar with accessing the web and searching through Google.

Samsung using Google as the default search engine on its devices has brought Google a huge revenue of up to 3 billion USD per year. If Samsung ends this partnership, Apple may be the next company to do something similar and there is a possibility that Google’s losses could reach up to $20 billion in annual revenue.

Google is currently focusing on equipping and developing its own artificial intelligence (AI) after holding the leading position in the search engine field for the past 20 years. However, with the emergence of ChatGPT, Google has realized that it needs to change more quickly to keep up with the trend of technology.

In recent years, Google has used many large language models to improve the quality of search results, but it has not been able to fully apply artificial intelligence (AI) to its search tool because AI cannot always provide accurate and unbiased answers.

Google has launched its own artificial intelligence called BardAI in February, but it hasn’t been as well-received as ChatGPT because it gives wrong answers in the first search results. This caused Alphabet, the parent company, to lose 100 billion USD in market capitalization.

According to the New York Times, Google is hoping to develop a new AI-powered search tool with much more personalized experiences than the current tool by predicting user needs. However, the idea is still in its infancy, so the release date is still unclear.

Meanwhile, Google is working on the Magi project to improve the current search tool with new AI features. Google designers, engineers, and leaders are working to refine and test these features before introducing them to the public in May and adding more new features in the fall of this year.
